Yuni
Cerda
Jul 31, 2023 — Jan 21, 2024
Brethren, we gather here today to bid farewell to a bright and beautiful soul, Yunuen Cerda, affectionately known to us as Yuni. Born into this world on the 31st of July in the year of our Lord 2023, in the warm embrace of Grand Rapids, Yuni was a beacon of light from his very first breath. It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge his departure from our earthly realm on the 21st of January, 2024, in the same loving community of Grand Rapids where his story began.
Yuni was the cherished son of Esmeralda and Mario Cerda, a bundle of joy who brought immeasurable happiness into their lives. He was the beloved little brother to Brian Ramos and Ian Cerda, and the adored youngest sibling to Xander Cerda. With each giggle and each tender moment, Yuni wove himself into the fabric of their lives, a tapestry of love and precious memories that will forever shimmer with his spirit.
In his brief sojourn on this earth, Yuni was the epitome of spiritedness, courage, and love. His laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of all who were blessed to hear it. His courage, an inspiration, reminding us that life, no matter how fleeting, is a gift to be cherished and lived with boldness. His love, a testament to the purity and strength that resides within the innocent heart of a child.
As the Good Book tells us, "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13. Yuni embodied this divine love, a love that will continue to guide and comfort us as we walk through the valley of shadows, seeking solace in the knowledge that he is now cradled in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
Today, as we stand together under the vast expanse of the heavens, let us celebrate the life of Yunuen "Yuni" Cerda. Let us hold fast to the joy he shared, the strength he displayed, and the love he spread so freely. Though his time with us was but a whisper on the winds of eternity, his impact was as profound as a chorus of angels.
We commend his gentle soul to the Almighty, trusting that in His divine wisdom, He has welcomed Yuni home. And as we part ways with this precious child of God, let us carry forward the light of his spirit, a beacon of hope that will illuminate our path until we meet again in the glory of everlasting peace. Amen.
