Wesley "Wes" Vryhof passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100.

He was born to Cornelius and Dora Vryhof on November 7th, 1924 in Holland, Michigan.

Wes was the beloved husband of the late Frances Vryhof for over 70 wonderful years.

Loving father of Sue (William) Aupperlee, David Vryhof, and Steve (Gayle) Vryhof.

Cherished grandfather of Mark (Jana), Todd (Shannon), Anna (Dan), Gwen (Jim), Daniel (Theiju), and Nick.

And dear great-grandfather of Drew, Kate, Joe, Ryan, Reid, Gwen, Grant, Marin, Nathan, and Abby.

He will also be missed by 2 sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Wesley was a charter member of Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church and he was deeply devoted to his faith. He also dedicated 39 years of his life to teaching at Grand Rapids Christian High School and he loved every minute of it. Wes fought for his country and served bravely in the army during World War II as a medic.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, at the Raybrook Manor Chapel in Grand Rapids, at 11AM with visitation starting at 10AM.
