Wayne K. Dornbush, aged 98, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on June 17, 2024. He was born on February 5, 1926. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, as well as his brother Floyd, sister Marian, and son-in-law Ken Vroon.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Mary and John VanDerPuy, Nancy and Len Fazio, and Susan and Mark VanZanten. Wayne was a beloved grandfather to Katie Anderson (Joseph, Evan, Winston, Lillian), Emily VanDerPuy, Mo VanDerPuy and Devin Majkut, Liz and Brady Wright (Shiloh, Lennon), Anne and Bjorn Anderson (Tyshawn, Zori), Sarah and Piotr Piasecki (Jovita), Rachel VanZanten, Kristen and Caleb Parks (Claire, Leah, Annie), Tyler and Melissa VanZanten (Miles, Emmett), Hannah and Austin Thompson; sister, Maxine Dykstra; and special friend, Marilyn Olsen-Lear.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 am at LaGrave Ave CRC (107 LaGrave Ave SE, 49503), officiated by Rev. Chad Boorsma. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Potter's House (810 Van Raalte Dr. SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49509). Wayne's legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who loved him.
