Virginia "Ginny" Meyer entered into eternal rest with her Lord, unexpectedly, on March 25, 2026.

Ginny was the beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Meyer for over 45 wonderful years, until his passing in 2009, the loving mother of Todd, Cari, and Marc (Sara), the treasured grandmother of Megan, Brandon, Erin, Austin, Joshua, Kaylee, Kennedy, Nik, Tressa and Danielle, the cherished great-grandmother of 10 and the dear sister of James DeYoung.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius & Louise DeYoung, her husband Robert Meyer, and sister Susan Lux. Ginny will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ginny found joy in Crocheting and sewing, often creating thoughtful homemade things for those she loved. Her home and garden were a reflection of her nurturing nature, filled with thriving plants and flowers that she carefully tended.

Ginny also had a giving heart and cherished time spent volunteering for her community, including Blodgett Hospital and Holland home. With being in and out of the hospital herself throughout her life, she knew volunteering was the right decision.

She also made many trips out west, to Alaska and throughout Canada with her late husband, Bob, and their camper. They loved sightseeing and being a part of nature.

Ginny will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1st at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids) from 5:00PM – 7:00PM. And a funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4th at Neland Avenue Church (940 Neland Ave SE, Grand Rapids) at 2PM with a visitation starting at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation be made to a charity of your choice in Ginny's honor.
