Tina Marie Franks Fassbender was born on February 6th,1965 and was surrounded by family and friends as she went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 21, 2025. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tina grew up in Lowell and was a member of the Lowell Calvary Christian Reformed Church. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1983 where she was a cheerleader and went on to earn her degree in Graphic Design from Kendall College. She was an amazingly talented artist & musician with a smile that could light up the darkest room, a heart of pure gold, and a laugh that was nothing short of contagious.

Tina spent the majority of her career with MC Sports in Grand Rapids as their graphic design artist and it was here that she made many lifelong friendships. She enjoyed creating art, from canvas and plaster to jewelry, as well as playing piano, her talent seemed to be endless. Her talents were only exceeded by her beauty as Tina was crowned Miss Macker 1986 and was a part of the Hawaiian Tropics Bikini Team.

Tina married Chris Fassbender on October 16th, 2010.

Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Toki Franks, on October 31st, 2024. She is survived by her loving father, Harold Franks, and devoted brother, Van Franks (wife Sheryl), as well as nieces and nephews that loved her more than words. She is also survived by Chris Fassbender and the Fassbender Family.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 1-4pm at the Moose Lodge, 1320 E. Main St., Lowell, MI 49331.
