Thomas Robert
Hollemans
Nov 9, 1948 — Oct 25, 2025
Thomas Robert Hollemans died peacefully after a two year battle with cancer on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Tom was a graduate of South Christian High School and attended Calvin College before leaving to serve in Vietnam in 1970 and 1971. He owned Keegstra Lumber before working at Steelcase and Roskam Baking. Tom was a deacon and elder at Millbrook Christian Reformed Church where he was a member until it closed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marva: father, Robert; father and mother in-law, Cornelius and June Ringnalda; and brothers-in-law, Frank Ringnalda and Tom VanBeek. Tom is survived by his mother, June Hollemans; children, Kevin (Shannon) Hollemans, Sheri (Joe) Bruce, Tim Hollemans, and Laura (Aaron) Rivera; and grandchildren: Morgan, Jonah and Wes Hollemans; Mackenzie, Travis (Hannah), Cole and Mya Westra; Cayden Hollemans; and Lucas and Ellie Rivera; great-grandson, Korbin Westra; siblings, Carol (Butch) Zandstra, Shirley Roskam, Julie (Dean) Deppe, Bernard (Dorothy) Hollemans, and Robert (Trish) Hollemans; siblings-in-law, Yolanda Ringnalda, Bruce Ringnalda, Helen (John) Griffen, and Carla VanBeek; as well as many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His love for his family was only surpassed by his love for God. Tom was incredibly generous, and lived each day with a grateful heart. He was thankful for every opportunity to share how God's goodness had impacted his life, and encouraged others to do the same. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49546) on Sunday, November 2 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Fuller Avenue Church at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, on Monday, November 3 with Rev.
