Thomas "Tom" Holden, age 91, was called to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 8, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother at an early age. He had loving memories of his maternal grandfather and grandmother who raised him. He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Imogene Vader and Lucy DeGood.

Tom worked in the pharmaceutical distribution business for 38 years. He retired from Bergen Brunswig Drug Company in the position of Vice President, Distribution Services. He also served on various Christian school boards and church councils. He also attended the Gun Lake Chapel for many years as well as served on their board. He loved to spend time at his place on Payne Lake during the warmer months. Surrounded by family at the lake was always time he truly enjoyed. He also loved spending time outside working around the barn and talking to the neighbors. During the winter months he spent time at Golf Lakes in Bradenton, FL. While there he socialized with familiar friends as well as made many new friends.

He leaves his wonderful, beloved wife of 68 years, Delores. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Julie (Robert) Slagter and Jon (Sue) Holden; his grandchildren Nathan (Melody) Slagter, Christine (Zachary) Levi, Kelsey (Drew) Staub, Ryan (Kayla) Slagter, Sidney (Allison) Holden, Jacob (Rachel) Holden, Cory Holden, and Sophie Holden; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 23, at 11 AM, with Rev. Darrin Compagner officiating. One hour of visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10 AM. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Mission India or South Christian High School.
