Judy Strikwerda died on April 30, 2023 at age 69. Born with severe physical limitations, she lived a happy life far longer than expected and brought joy to her family and many friends. Daughter of Alfred and Bernice (Bouwens) Strikwerda, Judy was a dear sister of Laurel (Ken), John (Arlene), Tom (Donna), the late Robert (Penny), and Carl (Gail), as well as an aunt to many nieces, nephews, and their families. The family is very grateful to the many caregivers who served Judy in Threshold group homes and those who in the last seven years cared for her on the third floor at the Spectrum Fuller Long-Term Care Center. We also express our gratitude to Plymouth CRC, where Judy was a long-time member of the Friendship Club. Visitation is scheduled on Friday, June 23, from 7-9 p.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton SE, Grand Rapids). Further visitation will follow at Zaagman's on Saturday, June 24, from 10-11 a.m. before a memorial service at 11 a.m., Rev. Dr. Jessica Bratt Carle officiating.
