Sharon Blickley, 79, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away on August 17, 2023, with her sons by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Nell Hoek. Sharon is survived by her two sons, Scott (Dianne) Blickley and Spencer (Nicole) Blickley; brothers Arthur (Mary) Hoek, Jerry (Dottie) Hoek and Russel (Laurie) Hoek; Grandchildren Joshua (Ryan) Blickley, Ethan (Corrina) Blickley, Logan (Riley) Blickley, Alaina Blickley, Shannon Blickley, Douglas Blickley, and Bella Blickley; Great Grandchildren Taylor Blickley, Elliot Blickley, Grayson Blickley, Amara Blickley, and Reni Blickley. Sharon was raised in Zeeland Michigan by Henry and Nell Hoek. She attended Zeeland High School where she excelled at secretarial courses. Sharon was a stay-at-home Mom when her sons were younger and later retired from Clark Retirement Community in Grand Rapids after 25 years of service as lead receptionist. Sharon loved meeting new people, watching baseball with her special friend Arthur Schnieder and spending time with her family. Sharon made friends easily and had an infectious laugh that was contagious to anyone around her.
