Sally Jane Hoekstra (Dykstra), age 83 of Cascade, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 19, 2023, after battling Alzheimer's disease. She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Sena Dykstra, brothers George and Jack Dykstra, in-laws Ed and Nellie Hoekstra, and brother-in-law Gerald Hoekstra. She leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, John; children John (Deb) Hoekstra, Michelle Ehinger, Lori (Andy) Idema, Vicki Hoekstra, Bonnie (Mike) Barstow; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Mitch and Betsy Dykstra; sisters Dorothy and Jim Ferguson, Mary and Bob Huizen; sisters-in-law Judy Dykstra and Candy Dykstra; in-laws Jan and Sy Ellens, Sheryl Hoekstra; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sally was a shining example of a faith-filled woman dedicating her life to the service of the Lord and the well-being of her family and community. She was a longtime member of Cascade Fellowship Christian Reformed Church where she was actively involved in various activities and sang praises to God as a longtime choir member.

The family wishes to thank Faith Hospice, especially Karis and Cindy for their compassionate care. A luncheon reception will be held to celebrate Sally's life on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Cascade Fellowship CRC (6655 Cascade Road). Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Faith Hospice would be appreciated.
