Ronald W. Boersma passed on to his eternal home February 5, 2022. He was born June 6, 1932. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He was an electrician by trade and a woodworking hobbyist. He had a great love for music, could play any instrument you set before him and crafted many instruments also. He sang in a quartet, was a member of several bands over the years and spent many years singing as a duo with his wife. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy (Heemstra) Boersma in 2009. He is also preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn (Lanning) Boersma, his brother Calvin Boersma and sister Ruth Venneman as well as brother-in-law, Roger Quiggle. He is survived by his daughers Vicki (Matthew) Bissell, Cherie Lohrke and Cindy Westfield, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Larry Boersma and Douglas Boersma, his sisters Janice Quiggle, Senetta (Gerald) Veldman and Debra (Eric) Juhnke. He is also survived by his sister-in law Maureen Heemstra and brother-in-law James (Sandra) Heemstra, Marilyn Boersma, and Tena Luikhart, along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday February 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Grandville Bible Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at church.
