We are completely heartbroken over the unexpected passing of our beloved brother, Bob, age 70, who passed away at his home of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Ann VanKuiken, and is survived by his four siblings: Ralph (Marcia) VanKuiken, Janet TenCate, Jack (Elaine) VanKuiken, Philip VanKuiken and Kris Cole, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew.

Bob graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 1973 and went on to earn a degree in Video Arts from William Paterson College in New Jersey. His education led him to a dedicated 40-year career at FOX 17 in Grand Rapids, where he worked as a cameraman, editor, and graphic artist.

Growing up, Bob cherished time spent with his cousins at North Park Beach. He played drums in school, was an avid Bob Dylan fan, and had a lifelong love of cycling. In his later years, he became a passionate music hobbyist, teaching himself to play both guitar and keyboard.

A private family gathering celebrating Bob's life will be held at a later date.
