Bob Bultema, aged 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Bob was born in Grand Rapids, MI in January 1937. He is an alumnus of Grand Rapids Christian Schools and Ferris State University. He also served in the United States Army. Bob earned his CPA license and practiced accounting in Grand Rapids. He was honored to be the Director of Finance at Metro Hospital (Boston Street location) for 30 years and closed his career as CEO of Sheridan Community Hospital. He was active in several Sunday school classes and the Connecting Point at Calvary Church for many years, volunteered in a foot washing ministry at both DeGage and LaGrave Ave locations, and provided mentorship to many young men. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, John and Harriet Bultema; father and mother-in-law William C. (Dub) and Mary Ella Yarbrough, and his brothers-in-law Mel Komejan and Milton Yarbrough. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jackie; his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Cindy Bultema and Jim and Gwen Bultema; his grandchildren Jake (Marisela) Stille, Benj, Amanda, Sarah, and Marin Bultema; sister Mary Komejan; nephews Mike (Bonnie) Komejan and Ken (Robin) Komejan; and many cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Church Chapel at 707 East Beltline, with Rev. Don Hancock and Rev. Tom Olsson officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, September 9, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton SE. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse in Bob's name.
