Robert (Bob) James Brock, age 78, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bob learned the saxophone, trumpet, clarinet and drums throughout the years. He continued to play Polka for over 65 years, including several decades with Bob Brock & the B-tones.

In Heaven he will be reunited with his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Brock (Banka), and his later wife of 8 years, Bernadette Brock (Rittersdorf). Peter and Eva Brock (parents), Helen Szubinski (sister), Stanley and Richard (brothers), Bobby Joe and John Michael (sons), and Axel (grandson) will be there to welcome him.

Bob is survived by his brother, Peter (Mary), brother-in-law Norm Szubinski, son, Anthony Brock (Marilyn), step-daughters, Tammi and Traci Barnhart, and daughter in-law Terri Brock. He has 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is also endearingly known as Uncle Bob to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and all who enjoyed his music throughout the years.

Bob's visitation will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 4 PM to 8 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Paul the Apostle Church at 12 PM with an hour of visitation preceding beginning at 11 AM. His body will be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Park. Contributions can be made using the crowdfunding link to assist the family with funeral expenses.
