Richard "Dick" Bouma, age 74, of Grand Rapids, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, June 4, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who dearly loved the Lord and his family. Born in Zeeland, MI, Richard was the son of Gerard and Katheryn Bouma. He had a very strong work ethic and recently retired from Pfeiffer Lincoln Mercury after 38 years.

Richard will be lovingly missed by his wife of 52 years; Leah (Quist) Bouma and his children, Heather Bouma, Christopher (Mindy) Bouma, Richard A Bouma; 10 grandchildren; his brother, Daniel (Anita) Bouma; brothers and sisters in law, Kim (Sandy) Quist, Phil (Nickie) Quist, Barb Quist, Amy (Rev. Rick) Christy, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Jonathan Bouma; nephew, Phillip Quist; brothers in law, Lynn and Tom Quist.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM at Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 8605 Fulton St. East, Ada, Michigan, officiated by Reverend Jeff De Boer on Thursday, June 8th. One hour of visitation prior to service, beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Prison Fellowship.
