Richard Allen Bos was released from the unrelenting grips of Alzheimer's Disease into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, May 6, 2022. He loved the Lord and served Him in various ways and positions throughout his life. He was a veteran of the US Army and used his beautiful tenor voice to sing in church choirs and participate in the Calvin Alumni Players. He volunteered at New 2 You for many years. He could fix almost anything and was a Master Plumber by trade. Rich was a caring, compassionate, loving, and generous man who put family first and he loved them unconditionally. He taught his family the value of hard work, the meaning of integrity, and the importance of keeping God in their daily lives. Rich leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Connie (Botma) Bos; daughters, Cheri VanTongeren (Jill, Christie, Dana), Candy and Paul Sorensen (Jeff and Nikki); son, Rick and Lori Bos (Chandler and Antonia); sister, Ardith Van Sledright; and sister-in-law, Marian Verburg. The family would like to thank the staff of Cook Center, Breton Rehab and Faith Hospice for their loving care and support during Rich's final stage of life. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 13 at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49546) with Rev. John Steigenga officiating.
