On Jan 3rd, 2025 Phyllis Wolbert finished the race, broke the tape, and jumped into the arms of Jesus. Phyllis was preceded in death by husbands John Wolbert, Gordon Winkle, and long-time partner Robert Kotula, and brother-in-law Dan Olson.

She is survived by her two sisters Carla (Bruce) Perrin and Shelly Olson, her children and their spouses John (Jeannie) Wolbert, Tim (Lynette) Wolbert, Elizabeth (Mike) Darooge, Gwen (Mike) Lemkuil as well as grandchildren John, Justin, Joshua, Britnee, Mathew, Artemis, Michael, David and Cristopher who together gifted her with 14 great grandchildren. Phyllis graduated from Hackley Hospital in Muskegon Mi in 1957 with her RN. She proceeded to go out into the world caring for the health, spirit, and hearts of the thousands who God put in her path. She worked as a hospital nurse, travelling nurse and ended her public career as a school nurse for many years with Grand Rapids Public Schools. Phyllis was a woman of deep faith who lived it daily. The family cannot properly express their gratitude for the Skilled Nursing staff at Clark Retirement for their kindness, support and care for our mom, you too are a gift from God to this world.

There will be a gathering to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman in a few months when travel is less treacherous. We rejoice together knowing that Phyllis is now in the glory of heaven with her Savior.
