Patricia Jean Ryan, 96, of Grand Rapids passed away on December 5, 2024. Pat, a child of God, now rests in his arms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Francis Ryan; sisters, Martha Bel and Geraldine Vanden Berg; and brothers, Leonard, James, Henry and Donald Vander Linde. Patricia spent her life as an educator in the Grand Rapids Public Schools, and in retirement she tutored children in her home and missionary children in Mexico. She is survived by her nieces, Karen Vander Linde, Nancy Yettah, Joan Vander Linde, Judy Lanning, Kristen Mc Kay, Martha Hart, Sharon Vanden Berg, and Patricia Waanders and by nephews Leonard, James, Scott, Donald, and Douglas Vander Linde and Mark Vanden Berg. Patricia's funeral will be held at Raybrook Manor Chapel (2121 Raybrook St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546) at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, where the family will greet visitors an hour prior to the service from 2-3 PM.
