After a brief illness Pat Hiller passed away on September 27, 2022, at the age of 82 surrounded by her children. Pat was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She attended St. James grade school, West and East Catholic Central high school. After graduation she attended Mercy School of Practical Nursing in Cadillac. Later in life she graduated from the Registered Nursing program at Grand Rapids Community College. She married Art Hiller from McBain, Michigan and was a stay a home mother raising their 5 children for several years before returning to her nursing career. Pat's employment history consisted of working at Ferguson Hospital, Sherbrook nursing home, Mercy Hospital in Cadillac, St. Mary's Hospital, and the Home Care and Helper's divisions of Holland Home. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Marie Gorman, husband Art, sister Barbara Gorman and brothers-in-law Bob Hiller, Vern Taylor, and Victor O'Koren. She is survived by her children Mary (Bob) Bradshaw, Mark (Tonya) Hiller, Jill Ann (Jim) LaForge, Ken (Jodi) Hiller, and Susan (Chris) Kornoelje. She had 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, with one on the way. Her sister in laws are Pearl Taylor, Carol Hiller, and Becky O'Koren. Pat enjoyed raising her children. She was very proud of them and their spouses. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish (2750 Burton St. SE) with Rev. Peter O. Damian as celebrant. The family will greet friends and relatives for visitation at church from 10-11 am prior to the service. A light luncheon will immediately follow the service next door in the Community Room at Zaagman Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers please give donations to the St. Paul the Apostle School fund. Pat fought the good fight. She finished the race. She kept her faith.
