Nellie Irene Bergsma, age 82, of Kentwood, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph, and by her brother Peter De Koker. She is survived by her children Kristine (Jack) Heimler, Michael (Nancy) Bergsma, Ralph Bergsma, Hugh (Dulcie) Bergsma; grandchildren Michael Bergsma, David (Selena) Bergsma, Courtney (Justin) Nimtz, Clint (Carrie) Bergsma, Shawn Bergsma, Gavin Bergsma, and Nicholas (Amanda) Heimler; great grandchildren Bella and Logan Heimler; brothers Neil (Karen) De Koker, Hubert (Denise) De Koker, sister and best friend Kathy (David) Ridout; sister-in-law Sandy De Koker; and many nieces and nephews.

Nell was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put her children and grandchildren before herself. She loved cruising, crocheting and was an avid reader. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held, and a private interment will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park.
