Nancy Lynn Myers, age 85, of Grand Rapids, left this world and met Jesus on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Nancy was born to Robert Nichoson and Margaret Marie (Lammers) Nichoson in Grand Rapids, Michigan, July 23, 1938, and spent her early years in Greenville, MI. Following her parents' divorce Nancy and her mother moved back to Grand Rapids in 1951 and spent three enjoyable years with her grandparents.

In 1952, Nancy's mother married Floyd Frazee, who was very good to Nancy.

Nancy graduated from Creston High School in 1956 and married Leonard Sweeris in 1957. They went on to have two children. Nancy became an Accredited Records Technician and was certified in Healthcare Quality Management. Her career took her to Butterworth Hospital for many years, followed by Forest View and finally Mary Free Bed Hospital, where she retired from in 1999 to spend more time with her family.

Nancy married William H. Myers on August 6, 1983. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2014. Nancy was also preceded in death by her son, James B. Sweeris on Dec. 2, 2020.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Charles) Holwerda; her stepson Daniel (Denise) Myers; stepdaughter Virginia Myers; and her grandchildren, Greg, Dan (Kate), Tom (Barb), Brad, Alyssa, Christopher, Lindsay (John Schramm) Holwerda, Nickolas Myers, Elizabeth Myers, and Samuel DeSmit. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, March 11, 2024, at Thornapple Community Church, 3260 Thornapple River Dr. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St, SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 and at the church on Monday one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to Faith Hospice.
