Merle R. Ezinga, age 90, of Jenison, Michigan, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, October 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marian, and his son-in-law, Robert Rowe.

Merle will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Sharon Rowe, Larry (Karen) Ezinga, and Laura (Bruce) Leech; his grandchildren, Bruce (Amy) Leech, Hannah (Caleb) Andrus, Ross (Katie) Ezinga, Olivia Ezinga (Sehj Singh), and Kaitlyn (Nathan) McCormick; nine great-grandchildren; and his brother, Roger (Beverly) Ezinga.

Merle was a gentle soul with kind words for all. He gave freely of his time and help, always ready with a steady hand and a warm heart. He loved to travel and embraced life with quiet generosity and grace.

A funeral service will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE, 49546) on Friday, October 17, at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Rick VanderWall officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the service on Friday.
