Mary Ann Van Slyke (Dertien), 94, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Dertien, husband Donald Van Slyke, grandson David Van Slyke, and son-in law Thomas Hofstee. She is survived by daughter Kathy Hofstee, son Rev. Don and Kathy Van Slyke; grandchildren Mike Hofstee, Mark and Alissa Hofstee, Kristi and Kevin Goethal, D.J. and Karen Van Slyke, Jon and Aubrey Van Slyke, Bethany and Josh Lucas; 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was a member of Faith Reformed Church for 67 years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and being very involved in the community. She had a beautiful singing voice and also played the piano. She was beloved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9 at 11 am, with one hour of visitation prior starting at 10am, at Faith Reformed Church, 618 32nd St SW, officiated by Rev. Don Van Slyke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to David's House Ministries.
