Mary Ann
Fox
Jul 27, 1933 — Feb 10, 2025
Our beloved Grandmother Mary Ann Fox passed away at Trillium Woods Faith Hospice on February 10, 2025 at the age of 91. She is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Kasianowicz, and her brother, Ron Kasianowicz.
Mary Ann was born in Grand Rapids on July 27, 1933. She grew up in the middle of her four brothers and sisters. She was a peace keeper by nature, but would not be pushed past reason. She was a very private person, but tremendously funny and quick witted. She was extremely caring and loved animals including rescue animals - some of which she successfully nursed back to health. Mary Ann met her husband, Thomas Fox at a gas station where he had worked as a full-service attendant. Sparks flew and they began a long adventurous marriage and life together which included their only son, Robert Fox. Mary Ann loved fishing, knitting, camping, close friends, family, cocktails (Old Fashioneds), and sharing many laughs. She found beauty in most things, smiled always, and loved the outdoors especially in the fall. She also enjoyed reading and spending time at her cottage on Canadian Lakes. Later in life, Mary Ann's memory began to slip; but she was crafty finding work-arounds, and if you did not know her well, you would not know that she had memory issues at all. She never complained about anything - even at the very end.
Mary Ann leaves behind her grandchildren, Clinton Fox, and Jason Fox along with their spouses Elizabeth (Eastman) and Jacalyn (Endres), and her great-grandson Ferris Fox, son of Jason and Jacalyn. She is preceded in death by her brother, John Kasianowicz, her sister, Arlene Sabaitis, her husband, Thomas Fox, and her son, Robert Fox.
The funeral will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel on March 1, 2025. The visitation begins at 11:00 followed by a short service at 12:00 and luncheon. All friends and family are welcome.
