Mary A. DeLange, age 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Mary was born in 1948 to John and Hattie DeLange. She was the youngest of 3 children and grew up and lived in the Grand Rapids area all of her life. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gene DeLange and by brother-in-law, Ed Pieksma. Mary leaves behind her loving husband, Don Eckelbarger,Sr.; her children, David (Sandra) Mellema, Jodi (Tim) Broadwater, Katie (Jeff) Kellogg, Danae (Weston) Buhr; 8 grandchildren: T.J., Aaron, Dominik, Fiona, Drew, Cassie, Jeffery, and Zelena; sister, Janice DeLange; sister-in-law, Miriam DeLange; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary dedicated her life to helping people become healthier versions of themselves, faithfully serving the community for over thirty years. She loved spending time with each of her grandchildren going to fun places, playing games, and doing art projects. She walked alongside God every day of her life and demonstrated her faith to her family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, February 22, at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE. The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral chapel on Monday, February 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
