Marko Pepellashi, age 75, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He is survived by his wife Esther Pepellashi; children Migena and Petri Furxhi (Emeric, Annika), Bjanka and Edison Rezhda (Kristela, Christopher), Kamel Pepellashi; sisters Zhuli Licenji, Meri Minxha, Lirika Kotori; and many nieces and nephews.

Marko was a third-generation hairdresser. He very skilled and was and a visionary in his field. He succeeded in building one of the best hair salons in Albania. After the collapse of the communist regime, missionaries were allowed into Albania and after hearing the Good News from them he invited Jesus into his heart and led his entire family to the Lord. He lived the rest of his life for the Lord. Marko always aspired to live in America. His grandfather emigrated to the United States in the early 1900's and Marko always aspired to follow him. Because of communism his dream had to wait but when communism fell his dream became a reality in 2005 when he and his whole family were finally able to leave Albania and become American citizens. He was very charismatic and had a great sense of humor. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, at 10:30 am at the Grand Rapids International Fellowship Church, 3765 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.
