Marilyn Bazuin, age 87 of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was a kind and humble woman of God who faithfully and lovingly served her family and those at Oakdale Park Christian Reformed Church, volunteering in nursery, ladies followship, and many other service activities. Marilyn enjoyed camping and fall color tours with her husband, singing in the choir, canning, sewing, reading, and working jigsaw, crossword, and word search puzzles. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 67 years, Duke (Duane) Bazuin; her children, Dave and Kaye Bazuin, Mike and Maxie Bazuin, and Pat and Jason Flier; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Agnes (Jonker) Ensing; her daughter, Cara Lyn Bazuin; her brothers, Kenneth and Raymond; her sister, Vera Cooper-DeVries. We rejoice that she is now enjoying a sound mind and body in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We look forward to reuniting with her and having all those conversations we couldn't have these last 10 years. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 6-8PM at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE), and on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 11AM-12PM at Oakdale Park CRC (961 Temple St. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49507), with the memorial service at 12:00PM.
