Marian Arlene Sytsma, age 86, went home to rest in her Lord on December 25, 2024. She was born in Grand Rapids on July 17, 1938 to the late Cornelius and Jennie (Slotema) Gerritsen. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Rogalske, in 1964; her second husband, Bernard Sytsma, in 2013; and brothers, Harold, Robert, and Marvin Gerritsen. Marian was a homemaker and experienced seamstress who also enjoyed working in her garden, relaxing and spending time at their lake house and traveling with her late husband. She was a longtime member of Ada Christian Reformed Church. She is survived by her sister, Lois VanderMeer, her brothers-in-law Jerry Sytsma and Tom (Mary) Sytsma, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside burial will be held at Garfield Park Cemetery on Monday, December 30, 2024. Memorials may be made to Holland Home Raybrook.
