Margarethe ( Margaret) (Zeiler) Pisciotta, age 90, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior, July 7th, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pietro Pisciotta, her parents Leo and Maria Zeiler from Salzburg, Austria, as well her sister Helga, brothers, Leo, Hebert, and Heinz. Margarethe was surrounded and loved by her 5 children, Brigitta Boston, Salvatore "Sam" and Kathy Pisciotta, Concetta Hawkins, Pietro "Peter" and Cathy Pisciotta, and Melinda Josephine and Chip DeVries.

In addition to her 5 children, she had the joy of being a Wonderful Grandmother to her 10 Grandchildren: Kyle and (Amy) Boston, Brenda Boston, April and ( Ben ) Landis, Kendra and ( Jason ) Lutke, Taryn and ( Brandon) Vanliere, Jeremy and ( Charlotte) Pisciotta, Ryan and ( Stephanie) Hawkins, Zachary and ( Gwen) Pisciotta, Lindsay and ( Ross) Trim, and Noah Sazy.

Also sharing her love were 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Margarethe was born on November 2nd, 1934, in a small market town in Golling which is a district of Salzburg, Austria. Salzbug is where she grew up until the time she met the love of her life, Pietro Pisciotta, who was stationed there with the US Army.

They were married at Camp Edinburgh, Salzburg, Austria. After Dad's duties were fulfilled with the US Army, they returned together to the United States of America to start their new adventures together.

Margarethe was a Wonderful Mom, always making sure us kids were taken care of. She will be deeply missed but will always be with us spiritually. We'll miss her cooking, her love, the Austrian flair that she shared with us during special holidays, but most of all we'll miss her Austrian accent.

The family would like to thank many of our special relatives and friends who made such great impact on Mom's life.

Margarethe was a long-time member of St Paul the Apostle Church. We would like to thank the special members there that continuously visited with Mom during her stay at Raybrook Manor.

Also, we would like to give special thanks to the staff at Raybrook Manor, 3rd floor Skilled Nursing, and Faith Hospice, who cared for Mom during her stay with them.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 14th at St Paul the Apostle Church, 2750 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids MI. 49546. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with Mass following at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to Holland Home Raybrook Manor and Faith Hospice.
