Louise
Leugs
Feb 3, 1930 — Feb 19, 2026
Louise Leugs, age 96, went home to be with her Lord on February 19, 2026. She was born on February 3, 1930, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and deep love for her family.
Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. John Leugs; her son-in-law, Lawrence Bobroff; and her six brothers and sisters.
As the wife of a Christian Reformed minister, Louise faithfully served alongside her husband in ministry, offering quiet strength, encouragement, and hospitality to the many congregations they served. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived it out daily with grace and conviction.
Louise had a lifelong passion for education. She taught many grades and subjects over the years, including German, sharing her knowledge and love of learning with countless students. Music was also one of her great gifts. Blessed with perfect pitch, she played both the piano and organ beautifully, using her talents in worship and bringing joy to her family and church community.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Patricia Louise; her son, David John (Danelle); her grandchildren, Jessica Marie Wilson (Don), Patrick Jan Leugs, and Duncan Robert Leugs (Erin); and her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Louise will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her servant's heart, her musical gifts, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of devotion, kindness, and faithfulness will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
