Louis Visscher, 89, went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2022. Louis was born on July 20, 1933 in Fremont to Jake and Jennie Visscher. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 45 years, Judith Mulder Wood Visscher; his deeply loved daughters, Mary Beth (Wood) Mursch, Becky (Wood) and Brian Telzerow, Julie (Visscher) and Jon Manion, Kristen (Wood) and Scott Chavez; 12 beloved grandchildren, 11 precious great grandchildren with more on the way; sisters Joyce and Dale Wagner, Sherry and Steve Sellers, and brother Jim Visscher. Louis was predeceased by his parents and brothers Robert and Edward Visscher. He was proud of his honorable Naval service and was a veteran of the Korean War. Louis developed a passion for aviation later in life and often remarked that he enjoyed the freedom that came with flying planes. He was truly a kind, generous, and loving man that will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton Street SE. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
