Lori Jean Boeskool, 67, of Kentwood, was welcomed into the arms of her loving Savior on March 21, 2022. She passed peacefully after a sudden and brief battle with Cancer. She was reunited in Heaven with her father and mother, Donald and Jean Boeskool; and her brother, Robert (Bob) Boeskool. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Boeskool (Mike Taylor); nephew Andy (Andrea) Boeskool, niece Cassidy (Brian) Bremmer, niece Gretchen (Cristina) Boeskool, niece Maggie (CJ) Breuker; and several great-nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind longtime close friends Margo Taylor and Tricia White.
Lori was a kind and compassionate person who had such a heart for helping those who were hurting. She achieved her Master's in social work from Michigan State University and put her knowledge into practice working several jobs in the field, including Goodwill, Wedgewood Christian Services, Kentwood Public Schools, and Network 180. She built many friendships along the way and was loved by many. Lori also had a special church family, Third Reformed Church, whom she loved dearly. She loved nature and wildlife, and had two beloved dogs over the years, Libby and Gracie. She spent many summers at her cottage on Lake Michigan where she loved to watch the sunsets and storms come over the lake. Lori also had a passion for watching sports, and as an alumni of MSU, they always held a special place in her heart. GO GREEN!! Lori will be greatly missed here on earth, but we rejoice in the promise that we will be reunited with her in Heaven someday!
Visitation will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel at 2800 Burton St SE in Grand Rapids, on Monday, April 11 from 4-6 pm, with a memorial service to follow at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Third Reformed Church benevolent fund.
