Mrs. Lois N. Oom (Broodman), aged 105 went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dr. Robert C. Oom, her parents George and Dora (Stuk) Broodman, and her brothers Alvan, Paul, and Jerome. She is survived by her children Bob (Doreen) Oom and Dori (Jim) Rankin, her grandchildren Cory (Brittney) Oom and Kaleigh (Jacob) Ritchie, her great grandchildren Kent and Cayde Oom, Luke and Miles Ritchie, her sister Delores Hoekzema, and many nieces and nephews. The family wants to say a special thank you to all of the special caregivers who cared for mom in her later days from Faith Hospice and Waterford Place. A service of remembrance will be held on Tues., July 2 at 11:00am at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with Pastor Barb Sanders from Fellowship CRC officiating. Relatives and friends can meet with the family at 10am prior to the service.
