Linda Sue Velderman, age 77, of Grand Rapids, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She grew up on the West Side and attended West Leonard CRC, where she met the love of her life, Robert Velderman. They were married in June 1971 and enjoyed 54 wonderful years together. Linda enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family and friends. She held many jobs including Administrative Assistant at Wolverine Gas and Oil and Christian Schools International. She also invested her time and energy into developing deep friendships with church members, childhood friends, and families up at their trailer, and will be remembered for her strong faith and genuine care for others. She was a devoted Christian and an example to her three children and eight grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband, Robert; and her three children, Todd and Jennifer Velderman, Jillyne and Kevin Wisdom, and Dena and Tim Apotheker. Linda loved being "Nan" to her grandchildren, Blake and Morgan Velderman; Tyler, Spencer, and Malynn Wisdom; and Lauren, Maxwell, and Zachary Apotheker. She showed her love to them by attending their musical and sports activities. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI. Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Friday, January 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
