Judith E. Verhulst was born March 10, 1940, to Peter and Helen Spaanstra. She married Glenn Verhulst in June 1960 and together they raised four sons. Judie was passionate and at times impetuous, with a love for all living creatures and an appreciation for the beauty in simple things. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her dog (she was never long without a dog), floral arranging, decorating, and numerous other craft activities. Eminently practical, Judie faced both life and death confident in God's love for her. She passed these qualities on to the sons she loved and was immensely proud of them and her grandchildren. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her eldest son, Roger, and her daughter-in-law, Ju. Grateful to have shared her life are her sisters, Ellyn (Steve) Draft and Jean Grevengoed, three surviving sons, Craig (Sarah), Eric (Barb), and Michael (Kerry), ten grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
