Joseph Lee Thompson, Jr. Age 69, of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away unexpectly on Thursday, April 22 ^nd , 2022. He was proceeded in death by his brother Ricky Bernard Thompson, his parents Juanita Jean White and Rev. Joseph Lee Thompson, Sr. Joseph Lee Thompson, Jr enlisted in The United State Marine Corp and served our county in the 1970's. He was employed by The Federal Correctional Institutions, as a Correctional Officer in Michigan until retirement. He is the oldest Son in this Thompson Family. Joe Jr. always had a joke to tell to put a smile on your face. He was something special!! He is survived by his Son Wonne Walker of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and brother and sisters, Bambi Allen of Grand Rapids, Michigan Robert B. Thompson of Kentwood, Michigan, Gregory T. Thompson Bakersfield, California,, Wendy Joy Thompson-Burrel of Muskegon, Michigan, Cindy Thompson of Kentwood, Michigan, Pixie Jean James (Terry)of McDonough, Georgia,  Lisa White of Grand Rapids, Michigan, John White of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Stephanie Gibson (John) Morley, Michigan and host of friends. He will be truly missed by all of his nieces, nephews and cousins. Intermittent Services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery 2894 Patterson Road, SE Grand Rapids, Michigan,  Rev. Carolyn Quinn-Allen will  Officiate, on Friday, May 6th, 2022 at 1:30 pm. Immediate Family Only. The family will greet friends and relatives  at The Golden Corral 3461 Alpine Avenue Walker, Michigan on Friday, May 6 ^th , 2022 at 2:30 pm.  Let's" break bread together" and "celebrate Joe Jr's. life."
