Joan Elizabeth Hendrickson, age 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4th, 2025. Joan is survived by her four sons, David and Andrea, Dan and Colleen, Mark and Julie, and John and Mary. She is blessed with 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren who always made her smile, even in her last days on earth. She is predeceased by her husband, Bob Hendrickson, and her grandson, Charlie Hendrickson and her great granddaughter, Harper Grace Saunders.

Joan was an active member of Garfield Park Reformed Church, Fifth Reformed Church, and Woodland Drive-In Church. Joan graduated from Ottawa Hills High School then returned to volunteer at the pool for many years. Joan always shared her love for the University of Michigan and all sports, especially when her grandchildren played. A core memory for the grandkids are crafts and activities every Sunday when the family got together, including bowling, tennis, pickle ball, seasonal decorations like gingerbread houses and Nutcrackers.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on June 30, 2025, at Fifth Reformed Church from 6-9pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the refugee fund at Fifth Reformed Church (2021 Griggs SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506).
