Jayne (Feenstra) VanderMale, aged 102, passed away March 14, 2024. Born in Paris Township to Charles R. and Martha Zuidema Feenstra in May 1921, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Arie (Bud) VanderMale; her sons Jack and Joel; and her sisters Gertrude Cornelisse, Eleanor Schwartz, Sue Bos and Charlotte Rogell. She will be remembered with love and admiration by her daughter Anne and son-in-law Stephen Tuuk of Grand Rapids, MI; daughters-in-law MaryEllen McMillan (Francis) and Kathelene Williams (Steve Edelstein); beloved grandchildren Keri and Nathan VanDrunen, Laura and Anthony Grosso, Jacqueline VanderMale, Joel and Kathleen VanderMale, Leslie and Cullen Tucker, Peter and Alexandra Tuuk, Emily and Kevin Twichell, and Alison and Jon Rasmussen; precious great-grandchildren Scott, Lucy, Connor, Winnie, Nico, Asher, Sylvia, Emmett, Louis, Brennan, Lincoln, Caleb, Andrew, Hailey, Millie, Iris, Eli, Micah and Leah; dear sisters Marjorie Farhat and Gloria Vos; and many special nieces and nephews. Jayne's faith was important to her; she was a member at Fuller Church since 1940, and in it she found community and many friends who were a source of solace and strength. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Fuller Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 1239 Fuller Avenue, SE Grand Rapids 49506, with nephew Rev. Charles Cornelisse, retired Chaplain, USAF Colonel officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family at the church prior to the service from 10-11 am. The family expresses thanks to Porter Hills Presbyterian Village for the quality of its care for many years. Cremation and a private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery will take place.
