Janice Ellen Looman, age 70, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Anton and Clover Looman. She is survived by her brother Denny Looman and by several cousins.

Jan was a professional and caring advanced practice nurse who provided excellent care for her patients with a focus on patient, family, and nurse education.

Her passion was for neuroscience nursing, and she dedicated many years to this specialty.

She was also passionate about University of Michigan Football and held season tickets for 48 years. It was her "happy place" and she continued going to the games even as her illness progressed.

Jan enjoyed knitting, shopping, and traveling to different countries.

She loved her bible study fellowship, her Sunday school class, and especially card crafting with her card making friends.

The family thanks Jan's special friends: Alice Cathy, Sara, and Rose who provided loving care to Jan in her last days. Those were very special times.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 17 with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 am. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Contributions in Jan's memory may be made to Faith Hospice.
