Janet Marie Konen, age 86, of Grand Rapids, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Janet was born in Pigeon, Michigan on July 3, 1936, to the late Herman and Ann Schuette. Her husband of 34 years, Raymond Konen, preceded her in death in 2006. She is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jim Bridges; and sisters-in-law, Audrey Schuette and Joan Hahn-Schuette. Janet is survived by two sisters, Shirley (Jim) Dutcher, Carol Bridges; brother, Robert Schuette; step daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Christina; 3 step grandchildren; 1 step great granddaughter; 11 nieces and nephews; 17 grandnieces and grandnephews; and 7 great grandnieces and great grandnephews. A private family graveside interment has taken place in Woodlawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church (2700 E. Fulton St., Grand Rapids, MI 49506) with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service from 11am - Noon.
