Jane Ann Postma joyfully and peacefully was called home to Heaven on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the age of 99. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Jane Ann was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 28, 1923 to Thomas and Hattie (Bultman) London. After working in various defense contractor offices during WWII, she married the Reverend Gerald Postma in February of 1947. Together, they served Christian Reformed Churches in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Ohio until their retirement. During their retirement years, they spent many winter seasons in Bradenton, Florida and at their summer home on Lake Michigan. Her husband, Gerald, predeceased her in 2007. Jane Ann will be remembered as a generous and loving Christian woman who lived her faith on a daily basis. Her later years were filled with constant prayers for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed good books, meaningful conversations and the comfort that her Bible gave her as she became more frail. Her kindness and gentle spirit remained even in the face of her physical obstacles. Surviving are her sons, Thomas (Carol), Richard (Ruth) and Gregg, all of Grand Rapids and Holland, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and friends from Holland Home Raybrook Manor. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert London, of Grand Rapids. The family of Jane Ann is humbled and thankful for the Christian love and care that was so kindly granted to Jane Ann in her final days in nursing care and hospice care at Holland Home. Jane Ann's homegoing will be celebrated by a private family graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or Holland Home.
