James Polk Williams was born April 12, 1938 to the union of Reverend Charles Williams Sr. and Carrie (Lindsey) Williams. He was the 8th child of 10. James liked to be called Jimmie. Jimmie graduated from Utica Institute High School and Junior College. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy.

Jimmie was a hard worker and he also played hard. He loved traveling all over the United States. He was the family Facebook before Facebook even existed. He was always locating family we weren't aware of.

Jimmie is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was especially close to his grandson Michael Williams Jr. and his wife. He also has two sisters, Gloria Beane and Hazel (Eddie) Johnson. He will be missed by his close friend Barbara Craig; friends Willie, Oliver, Clyde, and Joyce, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eula, and 7 siblings. Private services will be held.
