Mohney
May 2, 1944 — Dec 26, 2025
Ginger Jane Mohney, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was 81 years old.
Born in 1944, in Belding, Michigan to Russell and Jane Moore, Ginger loved being a mom to her two boys and filled their life with laughter, and a sense of adventure. She was known for her fun spirit, creative eye, and curiosity about the world, always finding joy in new experiences and unexpected treasures.
She had a passion for thrifting and loved the thrill of discovering something unique, a hobby that reflected her personality and sharp sense of style. This same entrepreneurial spirit led her to proudly start and operate her retail store, Flags Unlimited, a business that allowed her to showcase her creativity and independence.
Above all, Ginger's greatest love was her husband, Blair. Married for 61 years, they traveled together throughout the United States, sharing adventures, making memories, and enjoying the freedom of the open road. Their journeys were a testament to their deep bond and enduring partnership.
Ginger leaves behind children, Timothy and Fran Mohney, and Patrick and Elizabeth Mohney; grandchildren, Olivia, Nicole, Ava, and Easton; many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents Russell and Jane Moore, husband C. Blair Mohney, brother, Roger Arnold Moore, and brothers-in-law, Russell Earl Mohney Jr. and Loren Dean Mohney.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She will be buried at Cascade Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ginger's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
