Frances Elizabeth Vander Wall, age 93, was called home to be with the Lord, December 19, 2022, peacefully at home. Frances was born in 1929 in Muskegon Michigan to Harry and Betty Vander Weg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Peter J Vander Wall, and her daughter, Laura Beth Vander Wall.

She is survived by her children Steven and Lorali Vander Wall, Ken Kooistra, Lynne and Perry Fredricks, Lisa Vander Wall, Lesley, and Matt Rainville, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and sister Dorothy and Dick Blondin.

Fran graduated from Calvin College and taught school. Pete and Fran moved to grand rapids in 1962 from New Era Michigan and spent fifty-seven wonderful years together. She was an active member of Brookside Christian Reformed Church for sixty years and was involved with many local charities. Fran was very active, loved to travel the world, visit the beach, and share these things with her family. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her great faith in the lord, and her ability to welcome people into her home. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday December 22, 2022, at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE Grand Rapids MI, 49546) with Reverend Paul De Vries officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11am to 12 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Christian Reformed Church, Grand Rapids Christian Schools, or Camp Roger.
