Eleanor Anne Boersma, age 82, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, while surrounded by her family. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Larry; her children, Gary (Lisa) Boersma; Gayle (Greg) Morgan; grandchildren, Ashley Boersma, Joshua (Kacee) Boersma, Jordan (Marisa) Boersma, Hannah (Sam) Kiste, Hayley Boersma, Téa Boersma, Braydyn Boersma, Gavin Morgan, Lilly Morgan; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Ruth (Herm) Stukkie, Marian Kremers, Betty Anema, Jean Spee, Janice Quiggle, Senetta (Jerry) Veldman, Douglas Boersma, Debra (Eric) Juhnke, Marilyn Boersma, and Tena Luikhart. Preceding her in death were her brothers, Carl (Ric) Spee, Albert (Ruth) Spee, Rev. George Spee; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul Kremers, George Anema, Ronald (Dorothy) Boersma, Calvin Boersma, Ruth (Leo) Venneman, and Roger Quiggle. Eleanor "Ellie" will be lovingly remembered as a faithful wife and had an unconditional love for her family and for her Lord, Jesus Christ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 11:00 am, at First Protestant Reformed Church (2800 Michigan Ave NE) with Rev. Rodney Kleyn officiating. Visitation will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE) on Friday, March 4, from 4-7 pm as well one hour prior to the service on Saturday at church.
