Eileen Meyer, a beacon of kindness, gentleness, and courage, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2024, at the age of 94, surrounded by family. Born on May 30, 1929, in Grand Rapids, Eileen lived a full and vibrant life, marked by the joy of her many loved ones and the elegance of her favorite pastimes, golf, travel, and reading.

The matriarch of a loving family, Eileen leaves behind a cherished legacy in her son-in-law Robert Eldridge; her adored grandchildren, Matthew (Tracie) Piersma, Julie (Aaron) Arntz, David Meyer; and her precious great-grandchildren, Brandon Kraai, Zachary & Alexis Piersma, Jaxon & Josie Arntz. Her warmth will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of special friends who were like an extended family to her.

Eileen rejoins her late husband Donald, her daughter Kathy Eldridge, her son Robert Meyer, and her sister Joyce Applegate, leaving us to celebrate the enduring impact of her love and the gentle strength of her spirit.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, at 11 AM at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton Street SE, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Contributions in Eileen's memory can be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
