Earl Dykstra, a wonderful father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, in Grand Rapids, MI. Born on December 18, 1928, in Holland, MI. He lived a great life of 95 years with his children lovingly by his side during his journey as he departed for his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Jean (Kooienga) Dykstra, and is survived by a legacy of family members who cherished his presence in their lives.

Earl was an alumnus of Holland Christian High School and Calvin College where he played basketball and baseball. He served in the United States Air Force and had a long career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.

Earl was active at Shawnee Park CRC and in the community at Raybrook Manor. Earl loved tennis in his earlier life and was an avid golfer until his later life. He participated in many groups including a long-term Men's Bible study with friends.

Family was the heart of Earl's world. He leaves behind a brother, Robert Dykstra; his daughter Ellen (Tom) Wilcox, and sons James (Kam) Dykstra, and Gregory (Andrea) Dykstra; and grandchildren who brought him great joy: Justin (Lauren) Ogle, Ryan (Jessica) Ogle, Michael (Lorena) Ogle, Jason (Amber) Dykstra, Eric (Nicole) Dykstra, Chris Dykstra, Claudia, Dylan, and Hailey Dykstra and 15 great grandchildren.
