Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Donna.

Donna was given life by her creator and was born on 30 December A+D 1952, the child of Donald and Nadine Herman Larsen. On 29 March A+D 1953, she received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On 30 April A+D 1966 she confessed her faith and was confirmed and she also received the precious gift of the Lord's life-giving body and blood. On 19 June A+D 1977 she was united in holy matrimony to Barry Blomquist and blessed with 49 years of married life together. She was blessed with the gift of children, Joshua, Nathan and his wife Sabrina with two grandchildren Dean and Felicity. She is survived by a sister Karen Hesselbaum and a brother Scott Larsen. Her brother, Mark Larsen, preceded her in death. Donna served faithfully alongside Barry at home as well as at school teaching at Our Savior Lutheran School for 9 years. Finally on 7 September A+D 2026 God blessed Donna with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister Donna.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 14, at 11:00 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2900 Burton Street SE, with two hours of visitation prior, beginning at 9:00 am.
