Don Doorn, age 90, of Muskegon, Michigan, went home to his Lord on Saturday, May 20, 2023. He was born to Andrew and Della (Fielstra) in Muskegon, MI. He was preceded in death by his beloved and dearly missed son David, in-laws Pauline and Melvin Medema, brother in-law Ken Medema, and parents. He will be greatly missed by his loving and caring wife Carol of 67 years; daughters Linda (Jay) DeYoung and Jane (Jim) Zwiers; grandchildren Lisa (Tim) VanDyken, Laura (Luke) Houtsma, Jon (Miranda) DeYoung, Lynne (Dale) Eenigenburg, David (Nicole) Zwiers, Kate Zwiers, and Jack Zwiers; six great granddaughters (Emily, Julia, Leah, Brooklyn, Lindcy, and Sophie); brother and sister in-laws Bob (Sharon) Medema and Gord (Carole) Medema; sister Jean Burns; and many nieces and nephews. Don loved his family, woodworking, fishing, watching his grandchildren play sports, and Western Michigan Christian Schools (where he served for many years). He had a heart for serving others and used his handyman skills and love for building to help countless families over the years. Family and friends will gather for a celebration and memorial on Friday, June 2 at Porter Hills' Meeting House (3600 Fulton Street East - West Entrance). The visitation will be at 11:00am with the service at 11:30am. Memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to Western Michigan Christian High School Athletic Fund (455 E.
