Constance (Connie) Prince went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 29, 2024. Connie, the daughter of Rev Lawrence and Kathryn Borst, was born in Passaic New Jersey on May 4, 1935. She spent her school years in Pella Iowa, and then, after her family moved to Michigan, attended Hope College and Calvin College and then graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Speech Pathology. She married Robert Prince in 1962. They lived in Pittsburgh, PA; Morgantown, WV; and, finally, Grand Rapids, MI. Together they were active in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in those cities. They enjoyed offering hospitality to friends and strangers and traveled extensively to visit family and friends. Connie liked music and sewing and quilting and loved language, always looking for the next good read and ready with the appropriate quote.

Connie is preceded in death by her brother, William Borst. She is survived by her siblings Lawrence (Jeanne) and Jewel, and her sister-in-law Irene; her husband Robert Prince; her daughters and sons-in-law Dan and Cathy Cupery and Mike and Elaine Van Wyk; her grandchildren and their spouses Robert and Maria Pritchett, Chris and Lydia Van Kampen, Hannah Cupery, Nicholas, Rebecca, and Kaitlyn Van Wyk; and her great grandchildren Kuiper and Daniel Pritchett and baby VK expected shortly.

A few months before she died, Connie said, "I will see you over there" and it is with that certain hope that we have in Christ that we mourn her current absence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25 at 2:00 PM at Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 930 52nd St. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. In lieu of flowers donations to Crossroads Prison Ministry may be made in Connie's name, 2480 44th St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49512.
